GOING BACK IN TIME
Our History
For more than 165 years, Countryside Funeral Homes has served families with care, compassion, and a strong sense of community. Founded in 1858 by the Jaeger family in Chicago, our legacy has always focused on meaningful, personal service rooted in trust.
In 1988, that legacy continued with the founding of Countryside Funeral Homes in Streamwood. The goal was to create a welcoming, relaxed environment where families felt at ease. Families responded, and Countryside grew with the opening of the Bartlett Chapel in 1995, Roselle location in 2003, and the addition of the South Elgin location in 2009.
As the needs of families evolved, so did our services. We introduced personalized options like video tributes, dove releases, and unique Celebrations of Life. We are also the only funeral home in the area with a private, on-site crematory, ensuring loved ones never leave our care.
Today, five generations later, Countryside remains dedicated to honoring every life with compassion, dignity, and personalized support.
