William Strauwald

William R. Strauwald of Hanover Park; born 11/20/1920 in Germany, died 11/03/2010 in Hoffman Estates; beloved husband of the late Carol nee Stumpf; loving father of Sue (Jack) Heavens; dear grandfather of Kenneth (Christine) and Bonnie (Carl) Cichanski; fond brother of the late Herman (the late Josephine) Strauwald; special uncle to many nieces and nephews. William was a retired experimental machinist in research and development for Quaker Oats. Visitation Saturday 3:00 pm until the time of service 7:30 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Following services, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations in William’s name to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
