William Niemeyer

March 20, 1948 — March 4, 2024

William (Bill) Charles Niemeyer age 75, of Bartlett, IL, passed away on March 4 ^th after a courageous battle with cancer. He passed in peace at his home surrounded by family and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Rollin and Rose Niemeyer; his sister, Lucy Dawson; In-laws, Felix and Ann Corso. Bill was a devoted and caring husband to Lucy Mary (Corso). Proud and loving father of daughter Tracy Lynn Niemeyer (Don Beckman); William (Billy) Robert Niemeyer (Heather) & Kimberly Rose Ann Carbonara (Peter). Grandfather to many; August, Gracyn, Liam, Mikayla, Xander, Kaiden, Brianna, & Jacen; dear brother of Robert (Natalie) Niemeyer and Donna Herrman. Dog dad to Elvis. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Bill was an avid Disney fan and loved to vacation in Florida with everyone. He is a Naval Veteran and served his country with honors. The #1 Soccer dad, his pride and joy were watching his children and recently his grandchildren, play soccer and succeed at every level. Bill was a mechanic most of his life and enjoyed being the family handyman, changing oil and fixing everything in the house. Bill loved his motorcycles, especially his Harley Davidson Electra Glide that he rode with his wife Lucy. Bill also loved to eat and his favorite meal Lucy’s spaghetti and meatballs among just about everything else she cooked.

Visitation Monday March 11, 2024 3:00 - 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home 950 South Bartlett Rd. Funeral Tuesday 9:15a.m. to St. Peter Damian Church. Mass 10:00a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery 20953 W. Hoff Rd. Elwood. Family and friends to gather at the Visitor's Center located just inside the cemetery no later than 12:45p.m. for 1:00p.m. Committal Services. Information (630) 289-7575.
