William S. Lucas Jr.

William “Bill” S. Lucas Jr, 73, died Sunday, December 28, 2025. Born October 12, 1952, in West Virginia. Bill enjoyed being a coach for youth baseball and football. He was handy, taking care of his own vehicles and enjoyed cooking, especially BBQ. He will be missed. Beloved husband of the late Barbara; loving dad of Melanie (Norm) Pritchard and Rick (Claudia) McCombs; cherished grandpa of 5; dear son of the late Williams Sr and Helen Lucas and kind brother of Ron Lucas and the late Glen, Norman and Helen and uncle to many. Visitation 10:00am until time of service 11:00am on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S Gilbert Street, South Elgin. Interment Bluff City Cemetery.
