William T. Lavalie of Elgin for 20 years formerly of Des Plaines; beloved husband of 58 years to Sharon (nee Marshall); loving father of John; dear brother of Ann (Stephen) Schar; proud uncle of Daniel (Cathi) Schar.
William was a member of Elmhurst Model Railroad Club, a lifeguard on Lake Michigan for many years and accomplished competitive swimmer. Also, past president of West Park Little League in Des Plaines.
Visitation Friday, May 26th 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. at Barrington Rd., Streamwood/Schaumburg. Following visitation cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. Please omit flowers.
