William "Dick" Knepler

January 14, 1947 — November 13, 2023

William “Dick” Richard Knepler, 76, of Bartlett, IL passed away on November 13, 2023. He was born on January 14, 1947 to William Lee and Florence Knepler. Dick was the beloved husband to the late Jane Knepler, and to Joanne Nirtaut; loving father to John (Jessica) and Katie Knepler and stepfather to Karen and Melissa Nirtaut; cherished grandfather to Katheryn Knepler, Jameson and Katelyn Davis; loving brother to Jim (Pat), Alan (Coletta Miller), and Bob (Susie) Knepler; dear uncle and friend to many. Dick was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane, and his parents. He was a proud Eagle Scout and Army Reserves Veteran.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 3-7 pm at Countryside Funeral Home, 950 S. Bartlett Rd. Bartlett, IL 60103. Funeral Tuesday, November 21, beginning with 9:15 am with prayers at the funeral home and processing to St. Peter Damian Catholic Church, 131 S Crest Ave, Bartlett, IL 60103. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
