William Johnson

William J. Johnson, 72, of Streamwood for 43 years died Sunday, November 27, 2011. Born July 26, 1939 in Sheboygan, WI. He was the son of George and Leona (nee Trester). William was a veteran having served in the Navy. He was also a proud member of many clubs including AMVETS, American Meteorological Society, and the Knights of Columbus #8699 in Bartlett.
Survivors include son Bill (Karyn) Johnson; grandsons Nickolas and Logan; and sisters Mary Ann J. Gritzmacher, Marjorie (Jerome) Federer, Monica (Kenneth) Brunnbauer and Marlene Kollmeyer; former wife Patricia (nee Callahan) and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Genevieve, sister Marilyn and brother-in-laws Melvin Gritzmacher and James Kollmeyer
Visitation Thursday 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 S. Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral Friday 9:15 going to St. Peter Damian Church, Mass 10:00. Interment Pending. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Church at 109 S Crest Ave, Bartlett, IL 60103 would be appreciated.
