Prayers for William J. Fern of Bartlett for 15 years will be held Wednesday October 19, 2011 9:15a.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett to Resurrection Church. Mass 10:00a.m. Interment All Saints.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday 3:00 - 9:00p.m.
Eighty three years of age, he passed away Oct. 13, 2011.
Bill was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and retired from Commonwealth Edison Co. after 42 years as an electrical engineer, alumni of St. Ignatius High School, University of Illinois and Illinois Benedictine College.
He is the loving husband of Dorothy nee Brakrog for 60 years, devoted father of Linda, Debbie (Bob) Brauch, Bill (Laurel), Mike (Dori) Sandy and Dan (Pat); fond grandfather of 9; great-grandfather of 3; dear brother of Leah (Bob) Tait, Jean (the late Donald) Schumacher and Tom (Janet) Fern.
