Prayers for William "Bill" C. Elder of Streamwood for 53 years, formerly of Chicago will begin Monday July 9, 2012 9:15a.m. at the Countryside Funeral Homes and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg to St. John the Evangelist Church. Mass 10:00a.m. Interment St. Michael the Archangel.
Visitation Sunday 2:00 - 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
Born June 22, 1929 in Chicago, Bill died Thursday July 5, 2012.
Bill worked 10 years for Long Chevrolet as a business manager, active in the Hanover Township Senior's group, 30 year member of Moose Lodge 799 in Elgin and Golden Circle Seniors at St. Alexius Medical Center.
He is the beloved husband of 58 years of Mary Lou nee Scheffler; loving father of Michael, Patrick (Kathy), Debra (Robert) Vasica, James, Steven, and Diane DeLeo; cherished grandfather of 9; proud great grandfather of 9; dear brother of Thomas (Helen), John (the late Mary Lee), Gerald (Beverly) and the late Joseph (the late Phyllis), Mary (the late Richard) Karmik and Kathleen.; Many loving nieces and nephews.
