William Burger

October 7, 1961 — April 18, 2021

William (Bill) Vernon Burger, Jr., 59, passed away on April 18, 2021. He lived in his trailer in West Chicago, IL. and worked as an electrical salesman. He loved sports, which included rooting for the White Sox and Chicago Bears. He also looked forward to fishing in Canada with his father and friends. But there was no doubt that his favorite hobby was his enormous collection of beer cans. They numbered in the hundreds. Of great importance to Bill were the many friends he made in his lifetime. Several friends that he made in the 5th grade remained his friends for life. His personality attracted friends while in middle and high school, college, work, church, through others and wherever he went. Even though some of them moved to other states, they kept in close contact and found time to visit with one another. Bill was a very outgoing person. He wanted to be independent but he always wanted to stay close to his family. Even when he relocated to another state, he never stayed more than one year before returning home to be by his family. He had a short temper but could be as sweet and generous a person you could ever meet. He also had a gift of gab and a wonderful sense of humor. After struggling with many medical problems for a long time, Bill will be at rest now sleeping peacefully next to his father at the Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton, IL. We will miss him more than words can say and we will always love him pray for him and keep him in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his loving mother, Betty Ann Burger, fond brothers, Timothy Burger (wife, Anna) and Daniel Burger, (wife, Wendy) and devoted sister, Deborah Nuccio (husband, Michael). His father and closest friend, William V. Burger, Sr. is deceased. He has one niece, Jenna Burger and five nephews, Andrew Burger, Bradley Nuccio, Justin Nuccio, Austin Burger, and Brandon Burger.
