William Boyle

William J. “Bill” Boyle, 89, of Bartlett, died Thursday, April 1, 2021 surrounded by family. Born August 10, 1931 in Freeport, Illinois to Joseph and Florence (nee Blum), Bill was a graduate of St. Ignatius High School and DePaul University, both of Chicago. A long-time employee of CNA Insurance, Bill retired in 1994 and spent much of his retirement enjoying his grandchildren and traveling extensively with his wife Pearl.

Survivors include wife of 28 years Pearl (nee Downey); children Joseph (Rosary) and William (Valerie) Boyle, Mary (Jim) Tipper; stepchildren John (Debra) Simon and Pamela Downey; grandchildren Amy, Sabrina, Angelica, Robert, J’Shon (Joshua), Cheyenne, Aaron, Morgan, Savannah (Jeremy), Joshua, and several great-grandchildren; sister Patricia Fenlon; brother Michael (Martina) Boyle and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is proceeded in death by his parents, sister RoseMarien (Tom) Hickey and brother-in-law Peter Fenlon. Cremation is private at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett with a memorial service at a later date.
