William Barry

William “Bill” J. Barry, Jr; of Carol Stream formerly of Oak Park and Elmhurst. Beloved husband of 34 years to Susan (nee Able); loving father of Harmony Nicole (Keith) Hickey and Hilary Patience (Philip) Buuck; dear son of Jeanne and the late William, son in law of Joan (the late Clifford) Able; fond brother of Dan; nephew of many aunts and uncles; proud master of Buddy. Bill was a phenomenal poet and writer of short stories. He was very quick witted, active in the theatre, highly intelligent, looked at things differently than most, musically gifted, loved roller coasters, Disney, reading, the newest gadgets, critiquing movies - good and bad. Above all else, he was a devoted husband and very, very proud Dad. Visitation Saturday, February 25th, 10:00 a.m. until the time of memorial service 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd., (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org would be appreciated.
