Wayne was a Lutheran minister serving at Advent Lutheran Church in Streamwood for 20 yrs and various Lutheran churches in the northwest suburbs before retiring.
He was the beloved husband of the late Garnett nee Iverson; loving father of Noel Stoutenburg of Dallas, Sheryl (Hung) Lu of Streamwood, Rev. Tony (Pam) Stoutenburg of Hayward and Paul (Joyce) Stoutenburg of Des Moines; cherished grandfather of Karyn, Meri, Carl, Matt and Tony Stoutenburg, Sara (Adam) Hanley, Christopher and Clifford (Jordan) Lu, Stephanie (Brendan) Inglesby,; great-grandfather of Addison Lu; dear brother of Ruth Stoutenburg of Akron, IA. Memorial Service Friday, May 15 at 7:00 PM at St. Matthew Lutheran Church 733 Catalpa Ave, Itasca. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory.
