A memorial service for Wayne King Blackburn, 77, a resident of Streamwood for 41 years, will be held Tuesday 11:00a.m. at Our Redeemer United Methodist Church 1600 W. Schaumburg Rd. Schaumburg, IL 60194. Family and friends will gather at 10:30a.m. until time of service. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory.
Born in Chicago May 23, 1931, Wayne died February 7, 2009 in Hoffman Estates.
A United States Marine Corp Veteran, Wayne is a lifetime member of Streamwood VFW Post 5151, member of UTU Local Union 1433 and was employed by the Chicago Milwaukee St. Paul Pacific Railroad for 38 years as a switchman.
He is the beloved husband of 48 years of Mary nee Mueller; loving father of Karen (Robert) Trenn of Bartlett, Paul of Peoria, Eric of Streamwood and the late Wayne David; Proud grandfather of Kimberly, Emily, Kyle and Tyler.
