Wayne H. Bayard, 71, of South Elgin for many years, died Sunday, August 22, 2010 at his home. Born July 6, 1939 in Chicago. He was the son of Kenneth and Amanda (nee Hartwig). Wayne was an employee of L. Neil Cartage for more than 30 years. He enjoyed, working with wood and around the house. He especially enjoyed being with family.
Survivors include wife of 49 years Kay (nee Jordan); children Ken, David, Christine Bringle, Sherry and Mike; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sister Jane Williams; and special pet Pugzie.
He was preceded in death by his son John and his parents.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S Gilbert St (at Middle Rd), South Elgin. Services will be private for the family. Following services cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to VNA Hospice, 400 N Highland Ave, attn VNA-Hospice, Aurora, IL 60506
