He graduated from Ohio State University with a BSME degree in 1960. He married Gail Padbury on October 28, 1961. Wayne dedicated his career to being a design/structural mechanical engineer where he developed many machines to store and manufacture hardware. He had over 30 US Patents and much of his equipment is still up and running today. He was a skilled wood worker among many skills that he shared freely with all who inquired. He was affectionally known as "Chief” -a moniker he gave his father-in-law, but ended up being his. His project planning is legendary as he's the guy you want on your team. He did things the right way and expected that of all. He focused on learning his entire life. He was a man ahead of his time with computers and the software used for his engineering designs.
