Visitation for Walter J. Mroz of Bartlett for 32 years will be held Monday 3:00 - 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Tuesday 9:15a.m. to Resurrection Church. Mass 10:00a.m. Interment Assumption.
Walter passed away on August 26, 2011 on Friday at his home in Bartlett. He was born in Chicago on April 17, 1926.
Walter was the beloved husband of Irene nee Bogacz, married for 61 years. He was the father of Daniel (Mary Jo) and Robert. Also a grandfather to Lauren and Michael Mroz; a fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Walter was a member of the Chicago Federation Painters and Decorators for 50 years and also served in the Marines during WWII.
