As we sadly mourn his passing, we must celebrate a life well lived. Born in Chicago, during the Great Depression, he quickly learned the value of hard work, responsibility and accountability. During WWII, he proudly served his country as a Marine in the central pacific area. It was at Pearl Harbor that he met the love of his life, Eileen "Ikey" Bunting, a female Marine, who also proudly served her country. After marriage, together they started their family in Ikey's hometown of North Adams, Ma. It wasn't long before they returned to Rocky's hometown...Chicago. With the help of a GI loan he graduated from Devry Tech and landed his first engineering job at Calumet. As the company grew and changed its name...so did he, until finally retiring after 45+ years at General Signal. His roles were many but we remember him as "the boss". His work ethic served as a role model to employees as well as his family.

Together they raised seven beautiful daughters and were always there to lend a helping hand to family, friends and neighbors. The front door was always open ready and welcoming. Thanks Dad for being such a great father, husband, father in law, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and always faithful friend. Give our love to mom, Karen and Becky....we love you....miss you....until we meet again. Your loving family. Semper Fi !

A private burial ceremony will be held for his family.
