Virginia Martinez

Virginia G. Martinez (nee Garcia), 76, of Hoffman Estates, died Friday, February 25, 2011 at St. Alexius Hospital. Born September 26, 1934 in Big Well, TX. She was the daughter of Julio and Ursula (nee Mijares) Garcia. Virginia enjoyed playing Bingo but her true passion was being with her family and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include children Juan (Pat) , Mary Linda (Joseph) DiMaggio, Esperanza Urvieta, Stella Rojas, Alicia, Laura Garcia, Lisa (Al) Renkiewicz, Freddy, Irma (Dan) Pepin, Rene and Alfonzo; 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life Louis, daughter Sonia, her parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 3:00p.m.-9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd(at Barrington Rd), Streamwood. Funeral Monday 10:30a.m. going to St. Hubert Church, Mass 11:15a.m. Interment St. Michael. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org, would be appreciated.
