Virginia Magana, a cherished resident of Hanover Park, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 16th, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on Saturday, May 9th, 1936, in Monroe, Louisiana, Virginia was a beacon of love and strength for her family and community.

A devoted mother and beloved grandmother, Virginia leaves behind her children: Oscar (Judy) Magana, Carlos (Valerie) Magana, Salvador Magana, and Belinda (the late John) Bellinos. She was a proud grandmother to Sharlene (Roberto) Ramirez, Kaitlyn Magana, and Julian Magana. Her legacy continues with her great-grandchildren, Laval and Lendell Carter, and a precious great-great-grandchild, Julian Carter.

Virginia shared a close bond with her siblings, and she is survived by her sisters, Eva Taunton, Josephine Flowers, and Pat (the late Robin) Malone. Her husband, Oscar Magana, her parents, Julian and Elia Villanueva, and her siblings, David Villanueva and Lena Dalton, preceded her in death.

Throughout her life, Virginia was known for her incredible devotion to her family. An amazing mother, she instilled values of love, resilience, and kindness in her children and ensured these principles were passed down through the generations. Her family members and all who knew her will forever cherish the memories of her warmth and her unwavering support.

Funeral arrangements have been made through Countryside Funeral Homes & Crematory in Streamwood. Private interment Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin, IL.

Virginia will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those she leaves behind. Her life was a testament to the strength of family and the enduring power of love. May she rest in peace.
