Violet Kleffel, 87, of Bartlett, IL formerly a lifelong resident of Rockford, Il, died , Friday, April 16, 2021. Violet was born in Dixon, IL on February 3, 1934 to Cora and Ruben Forney. She was married to her beloved husband, Roger on June 13, 1958. Violet was an active member at Central Christian Church in Rockford, Il for close to 50 years where she was known for her volunteer work and lively get togethers.
 
 A 1952 of graduate of Amboy High School, Violet moved to Rockford and worked at Toledo Scale. She would later work at Swedish American Hospital for over 30 years. She married her adoring husband Roger Kleffel in 1958. They were married for 62 years until Roger’s passing in November 2020. Violet is survived by Karen (Jere) Caplenor of Lebanon, TN; Kathleen (PJ) Finis of Palatine, IL; her granddaughters Ellen, New York, NY and Jill, Chicago, Il and many nieces and nephews. Violet is preceded in death by her husband Roger, her parents, sisters Dorothy, Hazel and brothers Albert and Ray. Violet's body will be cremated at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, Bartlett, IL. At the family's request a private burial will be held at Abraham Lincoln Military National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
