Velia Faso

Velia Faso (nee Gonnella), 69, of Roselle, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2024, surrounded by family. Velia was born on June 14, 1955, in Barga, Italy, a home she loved and to which she returned frequently. She was a Director of Sales at Roman, Inc., where she worked for 36 years. Velia loved her garden and caring for her beautiful flowers, herbs, and vegetables. She was an excellent cook and hosted family holidays, including the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve. She was devoted to her family and her faith, and loved her pomeranian and her grand-pets. Velia is the beloved wife of 46 years to Salvatore, the loving mother of Ariana and Alessandra (Jordan Melvin) Faso, the cherished daughter of the late Alberto and Teise (nee Pennacchi) Gonnella, the dear sister of Anthony (Carrie) Gonnella and the late Gilberto (Patrizia) Gonnella, the adoring aunt of Gina, Nicholas, Giuseppi (Bridget), and Patricia (fiancé Saeed), the loving sister-in-law of Mario (Deborah) and Santo Faso, and the dear cousin of Jennie (George Katsivalis) Giambastiani. Cremation is private at the Countryside Crematory. Memorial mass to be held at St. Walter Catholic Church on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 10:00 am.
