Urvashi Kaushik Baxi was born on December 18, 1943, in Devgad Baria, India. In her prime, Urvashi was a science teacher at the S.R High School in Devgad Baria and a High School in Kandivali. She followed the love of her life Kaushik and began their new married life in Mumbai in 1969 and later moved to explore new opportunities in America in 1971. Soon after, they were blessed with their only baby daughter Parul in 1973. She worked majority of her life as a cyto-technologist and retired in 2009. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, participating in religious prayers, meditation, and yoga.

Her friends and family would describe her as an optimist and a fighter. She lived a simple, modest, happy life, always smiled no matter what challenges she faced. She motivated those around her to achieve their highest potential and live their best life.

Let us remember her longevity and honor her philosophy of “living life to the fullest without worry”!
