Ulysses Dequina

Ulysses "Uly" M. Dequina, 69, of Bartlett and formerly of Chicago; husband of Evelyn, nee Vilaro, father of Chanelle, Elyse and Jacelyn "Jacy" (Adam Riefke); grandfather of Zane and AJ; brother of Roger (Liane) and Mary; son of the late Marcelo and Rizalina Dequina, nee Mariano. Uly was a valued employee and coworker at Gotlieb Hospital where he workded as a lab tech for over 30 years. He had a great sense of humor and loved to play jokes and magic tricks on people. Putting smiles on peoples faces came easy to Uly. He proudly served our country in the US Navy. A private famly gathering will be held on Tuesday, December 8th, 9:00 am until time of service 11:00 am at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital would be appreciated.
