Tina Cox

Tina (nee Ploch) Cox passed away on January 31, 2022, at the age of 57 after a courageous fight with cancer. Even in the face of this terrible illness she never lost her optimistic, loving and happy disposition. Tina was born in Dearborn Heights, Michigan to Chester and Mary Lou Ploch on May 29, 1964. She grew up in a loving family with her brother Brian and sisters, Mary Jo (David) Reuter and the late Renee (Ronald) Cwik. She is also survived by God Mother Trudy Zitny, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, her friends and coworkers from Illinois and Walgreen’s and was preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond Cox

Tina loved her Red Wings, playing cards, a trip to the casinos and the Disney characters. Goofy was her favorite because he was just like her, always bringing joy and laughter to everyone’s day and demonstrating valuable lessons about love and friendship. No one was ever a stranger to Tina as she always greeted you with her big smile and a kiss if you were lucky! She was always wanting to know how you were doing and what was new in your life and was a blessing to all that were lucky enough to know her.

A memorial celebration of her life will be held in the Spring in both Illinois and Michigan with friends and family.
