Timothy Whetstine

Timothy “Tim” “Wes” John Whetstine, 62, of Elgin, after struggling with a long illness passed away July 25, 2015. Born in Vincennes, IN to John and Margaret Whetstine (nee Karschefsky), Tim lived in Mt. Prospect for many years. Tim graduated from Prospect High School and later attended University of Illinois and studied aviation. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Opening day of hunting season was the most important day of the year to Tim. He was also a longtime member of the Teamsters Union working as a mover and rigger.

Tim is survived by his wife Janeen Vanko whom he married in 1978 and 1986 and their two Vizsla dogs Rudy and Sugar Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service Saturday August 1, 12Noon at Memorial Washington Reformed Presbyterian Cemetery 39W900 Highland Avenue, Elgin. Friends are asked to meet inside the chapel of the cemetery.
