Timothy Merlihan

July 30, 1937 — November 29, 2014

Tim Merlihan, age 77, died Saturday, November 29, 2014, of complications from Parkinson's Disease.
He was born in Buffalo, NY. He was a graduate of the St.Joseph Collegiate Institute and received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Detroit. His career in sales and management led him from Buffalo to Toronto, Ont. Canada, and Palatine, IL. He had a passion for sailing and for serving his local Catholic church communities. He spent his retirement years in Bartlett, IL, where he served his community as a Eucharistic Minister to the sick.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lucille, son Terry (Kim), daughter Colleen (Tom) Cannon, and three grandchildren: Patrick, Michaela, and Meghan Merlihan; his brother Thomas, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Thursday, December 4th, 9:30 a.m. until the time of memorial mass at 10:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Chapel at Clare Oaks, 801 Carillon Dr. Bartlett, IL 60103.
The family extends a special thank you for the loving care provided by his Home Instead caregivers and the nursing staff at the Assisi Health and Rehabilitation Center in the Clare Oaks retirement community, Bartlett, IL.
