Timothy M. “Tim” Krause, 65, passed away Monday morning March 26, 2018 at home following a lengthy illness with pancreatic cancer and heart disease with his wife by his side. Tim was born October 24, 1952 in Chicago, the son of Earl and Lorrayne (Powell) Krause. He was raised in Chicago and graduated in 1971 from Stienmetz High School. Prior to graduation, he worked at a local bowling alley and owned 2 newspaper stands on the corners of Addison and Narrgansett streets. Following graduation, he worked 23 years in the Chrysler Corporation in Northwest Suburbs of Chicago prior to moving to the U.P. of Michigan in 1998. Tim was united in marriage to the former Jean Ledvina on June 4, 1994 in Illinois. Tim then worked for Ledvina Farms and later Wal-Mart. Some people at Wal-Mart would refer to him as Mr. Delightful. Tim attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Perkins and his hobbies included camping, fishing, boating and restoring vintage cars. He also enjoyed watching stock car races especially in Shawano, WI. In the summer time, you could find him basking in the sun and working on various projects around the house. During football season, you would see him cheering on the Chicago Bears. Family was very important to him especially his wife and his daughters. During his lifetime he lived by his motto “Krause PFA” or in other words Positive Fricken Attitude - which he had through all the obstacles that he faced. In addition to his wife Jean, survivors include: Daughters: Nicole (Mike) Vermilion of Santa Ana, CA, Valorie (Paul Garrison) Krause of Bondville, IL and Dominique (Jon Kinnunen) Krause of Gwinn, MI; Granddaughter: Elize Vermilion of Santa Ana, CA; Brother: Dennis (Peggy) Krause of Milan, TN; Sisters: Janeal (Randy) Simale of Antioch, IL and Leanne (Angelo) Delia of Bartlett, IL and Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. In addition to his parents, his brother, Curtis Krause preceded Tim in death. Tim’s family will receive friends on Monday April 2, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone, Michigan. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Perkins, Michigan with Rev. Fr. Emmett Norden officiating. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday April 4, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett, Illinois. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery, Palatine, Illinois.
