Tillie Sullivan, formerly of Roselle for 50 years, passed away peacefully at Friendship Village, Schaumburg on July 26, 2011 at the age of 97 . Beloved wife of the late John J. Sullivan. Dear mother of Michael (Irene), Kathleen (John) Tully, Terry Sullivan, and Barbara (Stan Wisnes). Cherished grandmother of Lynn (Greg) Bedalov and John (Shirley) Tully Jr. Dear “Nana” of Claire, Mary and Annie Bedalov.
  
  Preceded in death by her siblings, John Babel, George Babel, Ann Russell, Marion Beach, and Margaret Berg. Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
  
  Born in Chicago, Tillie graduated from Austin High School in 1931. After marrying John and having their family, they moved with the four children to Roselle in 1948. Tillie and John were active in the building and formation of St. Walter’s Mission, and then the church for over 50 years - John as an usher and Tillie working as the parish secretary for many years. Theirs was a life of wonderful neighbors and friends, huge gardens, canning tomatoes in the kitchens, clothes hanging on the line, children playing outside at dusk, unlocked doors all night, and everyone helping each other out.
  
  A Gathering for family and friends will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, July 29, 2011 at St. Walter Catholic Church, 130 W. Pine Avenue, Roselle, Il. A Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10 am at the church.
