Thomas Maguire, 91, of Bartlett, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022 at The Oaks of Bartlett Assisted Living Facility. Tom was born on September 11, 1930 in Milwukee, Wisconsin to James and Eleanor (nee Kleiner). He married Gloria Franz in 1955. Tom was a graduate of Messmer High School in Milwaukee. He joined the Air Force working as an air traffic controller in Alaska during the Korean War. Tom went on to receive a business degree at Memphis State University, all while working night shift at Memphis Airport and raising his family. He was awarded top salesman for Rexford Paper Company in Chicago and the tri-state region with 29 years of employment.
 
 Tom was a devout Catholic who, over many years and parishes, participated as a eucharistic minister and lector. He was an active member at the St. Thomas of Villanova in Palatine school board, Knights of Columbus, Boy Scouts of America troop master, and Executive Commander of the U. S. Power Squadrons boating safety organization. He loved our Lord, his family, travelling, boating, and the outdoors.
 
 Beloved husband of the late Gloria (nee Franz); loving father of Mary Jo Maguire, Thomas, Jr. (Sheryll Taterka), John (Debbie), Lisa (Bob) Tobin, Peggy (Doug) Barrante, and the late Kathleen Maguire; proud grandfather of Kelly, Bob, Stephanie, Natalie, Olivia, Luke, and Ava; dear brother of the late Jim (the late Anita); cherished companion of Karen Extrom.
 
 Visitation Friday, July 15 from 9:30am until time of Mass 10:30am at Sacred Heart Chapel at The Oaks 801 Carillon Dr., Bartlett. Family and friends will meet for interment at 1:00pm at St. John the Baptist Cemetery 1501 172nd Ave., Union Grove, WI.
