Thomas Michael Short, born January 09, 1967 and called Home on January 31, 2021.

Beloved son of Nancy (Ken) Stumpf (nee Weiner) and the late Thomas (Joyce) Short. Beloved husband of Vicki Short, father of Thomas Short Jr. (Sara Beth), Kyle Short, Taylor Short and step-father of Michael Lendman. Grandfather of Lakeson Short and baby brother expected February 14, 2021. Beloved brother of Brian Short, Kelly (Junior) Alvarado and Tracey (Chris) Yoo and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Tommy loved hockey and spent his days working at Jerry’s Hockey Warehouse. On the weekends, you could find him at the racetrack or spending time with his wife, family and friends; all who he cherished dearly. He was always the life of the party and he will most definitely be remembered for his smile and infectious laugh. He was a true inspiration of grasping life’s precious moments and will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to know and love him.

Visitation Tuesday February 2, 2:00pm until time of service 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 95 S. Gilbert Street (at State Street) South Elgin. Following services cremation will be private at Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Journey Care of Barrington for taking such loving care of Tommy in his final days.

** Due to covid-19 restrictions all visitors are asked to pay their respects and move on to allow other the opportunity. All are required to wear masks. No food will be permitted at the funeral home.
