Thomas Schweig

Thomas P. Schweig, 70, Huntley, Illinois, was released from his suffering April 4, 2021.

A Lieutenant in the Chicago Fire Department and former member of Squad 2, Tom retired from Engine 112 after 31 years of service.

Unfortunately Tom did not have the time he wanted to enjoy his many interests, including family/friend gatherings (never missed), bowling, and his great passion, golf.

Born and raised in Chicago, Tom was the cherished son of the late Mary (Jenkin) and Nicholas Schweig and loving brother of Ann Marie (Michael) Murphy, the late Robert (Geralynn), John (Judith), Marilyn (the late Salvatore) Novello, Sharyn (Steven) Mundt, the late Victor, U.S.M.C., Rita (Daniel) Habel, Stephen and Deborah (the late Harold) Farina. He was also a loving friend to Vida, constant companion to his dog Rosey, uncle of 17, great uncle of 12 and great great uncle of one. These are just a few of the many lives Tom has touched, and that will miss him dearly.

Memorial visitation Saturday, April 10, 1:30 – 4:00, with service immediately following at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) in Bartlett. Cremation was private.
