Thomas Schiferl

Thomas L. Schiferl, 78, of Bartlett since 1966 died June 3, 2011. Thomas was named Bartlett “Living Legend” in 1999. He was one of the founders of Bartlett Little League, organizer of Bartlett Raiders football, and past president of the Bartlett Lions Club. Thomas enjoyed calling bingo at St. Peter Damian where he also was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a past Commissioner of the Bartlett Park District, past member of the Bartlett Planning Commission, member of Bartlett 4th of July Committee, and member of Bartlett Park District Foundation. Thomas was the beloved husband for 54 years of Marilyn nee (Hornig). Loving father of Theresa, Lynn (Jim) Boyle, Marge (Anne Hewett), Joseph, Beth, Mark (Robyn), Katrina Schock, Jeffrey (Jenny) and Thomas. Proud grandfather of Amanda, Ashley, Abby, Lauren, Steven, Brandon, Cody, Grant, and Megan. Cherished brother of Ruth (Andy) Ruff, Kathryn (the late Tom) Petrik, Patricia (Art) Hornig, Jeanne (the late Robert) Scherdell, Charles (Donna), Gerald, Carol (Fred) Deike, Marilou (Ron) Deike and the late Richard (Nancy) and James (Ireta). Many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the Countryside Funeral Home 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns), Bartlett.
