Thomas Ross

Thomas “Tom” D. Ross, 84, of Roselle since 1929, died Friday, July 15, 2011. Born February 16, 1927 in Mystic, Iowa. He was the son of William and Nadine (nee Seddon). A veteran of WWII having served in the Navy. Tom was very handy and enjoyed working around the house as well as helping his neighbors with their projects. He was a volunteer firefighter for Roselle for 19 years and really enjoyed sports, especially golf which he played five days a week. He will be missed by his family.
Survivors include wife of 60 years Jeanne (nee Wendland); children Cynthia (Russ) Nebel, Thomas G. and Susan (Brian) Floetl; grandsons Travis (Marianne) Nebel and Jonathan Ross; sister Charlotte O’Neil and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Virginia Noble and brother William.
Visitation Monday, July 18, 2011 from 3:00p.m until time of service 7:30p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 333 S. Roselle Rd (1/2 mile south of Irving Park), Roselle. Following services cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
