Thomas P. Reader, 96, of Streamwood, passed away Monday, April 29, 2024. An Army Veteran, Tom was a past Master Mason and taught in River Grove for over 35 years. He was an avid Chicago White Sox, Bears, and Bulls fan. Beloved husband of the late Elinor (nee Mackeben); loving father of Jeffrey (Cheryl), Lara (Jon) Helinski, and the late Julie (Bruce) Prokup; dear grandfather of Michael (Caitlin) Reader, Katlin Reader, Alyssa Prokup, Keith Prokup, Jacob Helinski, and Lila Helinski; proud great grandfather of Tessa; Tom was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, May 17 from 3:00pm until time of memorial service 3:30pm at Our Redeemer's United Methodist Church 1600 W. Schaumburg Rd., Schaumburg.
