Thomas Podgorski

Thomas “Tom” W. Podgorski, 79, of Barlett for 27 years, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Born January 13, 1938 in Chicago. Tom worked for Commerce Clearing House for over 25 years. He enjoyed the simplicity of the outdoors and was best known for his gardening, especially his roses. He will be missed by his family. Beloved husband of Anna (nee Bigler); loving dad of Mark (Sandy) Syfert, Laurie (Michael) Owens, Sherry (John) Posch, Shelly (Pastor Michael) Breimer, Robert (Sherri) Garramone and Kenneth (Jennifer) Garamone; cherished grandpa of 14 and great grandpa of 16; caring son of the late Joseph Sr and Myrtle (nee Gjersten) and fond brother of the late Joseph Jr. Memorial visitation 2:00p.m. until time of memorial service 4:00p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2016 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Cremation was at the Countryside Crematory.
