Thomas Olson

Dr. Thomas John Olson, formerly of North Barrington, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2009.
Born May 16, 1929 in Chicago, Tom grew up on the northwest side of the city and graduated from Taft High School. After attending Northern Illinois University and Northwestern University Dental School, he became a captain in the United States Army.
A life member of the American Dental Association, Tom practiced family dentistry for more than 35 years at his Rolling Meadows office on Kirchoff Road. He resided in Rolling Meadows and North Barrington, IL, with his family and was a member of the Barrington Methodist Church.
Tom is survived by his wife and companion, Beverly, four children and five grandchildren; son Jay (Camille), Alanna, Brooke and Connor Olson; son Lance (Jocelyn), Meghan and Sarah Olson; daughters Sara Olson and Cherene Olson; sisters, Janis (John) Bennett and Kate Olson; he was preceded in death by his brother Walter (Lynn) Olson.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 22, 2009, at 3:30 p.m. with visitation from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory(www.countrysidefuneralhomes.com), located at 333 South Roselle Rd. in Roselle, IL.
