Thomas A. Lindbergh passed away on October 8, 2026 in Inverness, Illinois. He was 80 years old.
Tom was born on September 18, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, to Virginia and Harry Lindbergh. A proud Michigander, he carried his roots with him throughout his life, most notably his devotion to his beloved sports teams. He was a lifelong and loyal fan of the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Red Wings. Tom also took great joy in collecting sports memorabilia and spending time in Hawaii.
Tom is survived by his two daughters, Suzanne (John) Sias and Lisa (Gordon) Zieleniewski, and his eight grandchildren: the Sias Boys (Will, TJ, Charlie and Teddy) and the Zieleniewski Girls (Allexandra, Isabella, Allivia, and Amallia). He is further survived by Linda Lindbergh and his sister, Gail (Michael) Sionkowski. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gary.
Tom’s daughter Suzanne wishes to extend gratitude to those who cared for Tom the past twelve years.
In lieu of other arrangements, the family kindly requests that flowers be sent to the residents and staff of the Inverness Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Inverness, Illinois, in recognition of the patience and compassion he was shown there.
