Thomas Angelo Brichetto, 73, passed away on June 29 while in the company of his family. Tom was born in Chicago on August 31, 1941, and was raised in the city by his mother Yolanda Brichetto, when as a young boy his father Andrew passed away. Tom worked as a typesetter while serving in the Army, and continued in the trade professionally for many years. A longtime resident of Hoffman Estates and Bartlett, Tom was beloved by family and friends for his straightforward demeanor, incredible sense of humor, reliable character, and caring heart. A loving father of three and grandfather of seven children, Tom and his wife Suzi (Lamb) created a family and home which welcomed friends both old and new as if they were blood relatives, and his absence will be felt by all of their families. In his later years, Thomas served as an example of how to live with strength and dignity despite mounting health issues. He is survived by his wife, his daughter Angela Staples (Charles), his sons Anthony and Nicholas (Nena) and his granddaughters Stephanie, Abigale, Rebecca, Emily, Casey, Campbell and Reese, and his sister MaryAnn Chomor and many nieces & nephews.
