Theresa Maczko

February 20, 1962 — April 1, 2025

Theresa Maczko (née Cunningham), born on February 20, 1962, in Elgin, Illinois, passed away on April 1, 2025, in Naperville, Illinois.

Theresa was the cherished daughter of Arlene Patrasso and the late Darrell Cunningham, and she shared a heartfelt connection with her late grandmother, also named Theresa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Humphrey; her brother, Dennis Cunningham; her grandparents Theresa and Wayne; and her faithful dog, Brandy.

She was a devoted mother to Krystal Frawley and Jason Frawley, alongside her previous husband Robert J. Frawley Jr. Her love lives on through her six grandchildren: Andrew, Lucas, and Julian of Krystal; and Jessa, Averie, and Kyler of Jason and Mikelle Caponi. Among many cherished moments was a nightgown painted by her grandchildren during a 2019 visit to Idaho—returned to her in November 2024, it brought tears of joy and stood as a symbol of their enduring bond.

Theresa embraced creativity and adventure throughout her life. Camping trips with her children—complete with hiking trails and laughter-filled arguments about backing up the camper—became treasured family memories. During her recent years, she nurtured gardens full of color until Chicago winters proved too harsh. Ever resourceful, she turned to dollar store flowers to keep brightness blooming outdoors year-round.

Her home reflected her vibrant spirit—from shelves lined with Beanie Babies and miniature teapots to lovingly gathered knickknacks passed down through generations. This shared passion for collecting wove together the threads of family tradition.

After moving to Bella in Bloomingdale in October 2024 following a cancer diagnosis, Theresa formed close bonds with residents and staff alike. Living near her mother allowed for joyful visits filled with laughter—and lively debates over shopping essentials.

Honoring her wishes, no formal service will be held. Instead, she asked that kindness be shared freely and life embraced fully.

May her memory forever inspire warmth, resilience, and love.
