Theodore Balrig

Theodore C. Balrig, 81, a resident of Streamwood for 50 years. Died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 in Hoffman Estates. Born February 9, 1927 in Chicago, the son of William and Helen, nee Rakowski, Balrig. An employee of FMC for 35 years, he was an active member in VFW Post 5151, Streamwood Babe Ruth League, and Cub Scouts. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and teaching religious education at St. John the Evangelist, and being with his family.

Children William (Barbara) Balrig, Mary Ann (Tony) Palazzolo, Gabriel (Phillis) and Robert (Laura) Balrig.

Brothers-in-law Patrick (Theresa) Ariola and Vincent (Judith) Ariola

His parents, late brother Leonard (Lucille) Rasmussen and brothers-in-law Philip (Carmella) Ariola and Alphonse (Geraldine) Ariola.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Rd), Streamwood/Schaumburg. Prayers will be said Monday at 8: 45 a.m. followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. (630/847)289-8054.
