Tatiana Araya Contreras, 77, of Streamwood, lL, and born October 20, 1942 in Santiago, Chile, moved on to her eternal life August 13, 2020. She was many things throughout her life: an educator, caregiver and baker just to name a few. She ran her own school in South America with pride and personally made sure none of her students ever had to go without food or medicine. However, her greatest pride and joy in life was her family. She was a proud mother, grandmother, aunt, great grandmother and friend. No one that ever met her was a stranger and even if she didn’t always have much to give, she would give whatever she had to help anyone in need. Those blessed to know and love her were better people for it, and were blessed in return to be loved by her. Despite any difficulties and hardships that she happened upon in life, she overcame them all with grace, dignity and an unwavering faith in God. Tatiana was preceded in death by her parents, Atilio Amador Araya Saavedra and Rosa Elena Contreras Soto, two brothers, Osvaldo Avendano Contreras and Atilio Araya Contreras, as well as her beloved daughter, Antonietta Elena Neri. Her family finds comfort in the knowledge that they are all together once more. She leaves behind two children: her son Andres Atilio Neri (Evelyn) and her daughter Jacqueline Tatiana Neri; as well as four grandchildren: Antonietta Jacqueline Nichole Neri, Mauricio Alejandro Medina (Christian), David William Neri (Areli), and Tatiana Mariella Cooper (Randall); and four great grandchildren: Mya Ariell Medina, Andres Miguel Amador Neri, Mauricio Armani Medina and Alexia Isabella Neri. She will be missed dearly but they all know they have gained a beautiful guardian angel.
