Services for Takashi Dodohara of Elgin will begin Saturday January 21, 2012 10:00a.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ 1500 Old Church Rd. Streamwood, 60107 where he will lie in state until time of service 11:00a.m. Interment Lakewood Memorial Park.
  
  Visitation will be held Friday 3:00 - 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg.
  
  Born October 17, 1933 in Escopi, Peru, he died Monday January 16, 2012.
  
  Takashi was brought to the United States during WWII and placed into an internment camp in Crystal City, Texas with his family in 1943. The family was interned there until 1946 when Seabrook Farms offered his parents jobs at their vegetable processing plant in Seabrook, New Jersey. The company also provided housing and food until they were able to establish themselves in America.
  
  Takashi proudly served in the US Army from 1952 - 1954.
  
  He became a very loyal and proud U.S. citizen in 1974, which he remained until his death.
