T L Arends (nee: Stone), 69, of Bartlett, Beloved wife of Thomas; loving mother of Scott (Kirstin) Sumner and Kristina (Bill) Gabrenya; dear grandmother of Lucinda Katherine, Ellen Virginia, Graham Hubert, Grace Stone and Lucas Liam; fond sister of Carole (Gilbert) Baumann, Jan (Harold) Sanderson, the late Stuart S.(Shelley) Stone, the late Rocky (Linda) Stone and the late Kay Haas; T L was the human of Betsy.
T L was a Career Banker and was also very active in her community as, Bartlett Park District Commissioner 1979-1991, Chairman Bartlett Unit Salvation Army 1982-2009, Bartlett Chamber of Commerce President 1984, Bartlett Park District Board President 1986, Bartlett Economic Development Commission 1986, Bartlett Zoning Board of Appeals 1987, 1st female member Bartlett Lions Club 1987-Present, President Elgin High PTO 1990, Co-Chairperson Bartlett Centennial 1991, named Bartlett Living Legend 1991, Founder and 1st Chairperson Bartlett 4th of July Committee 1993-1994, Bartlett Veterans Memorial Foundation board 2006-2009, Bartlett Rotary 2007- Present, Bartlett Rotary President 2009,Bartlett Village Trustee 1991- Present, foundation Board at Elgin Community College and many other organizations.
Visitation Monday 3:00pm until 8:00pm and Tuesday 3:00pm until 8:00pm at The Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns rd.), Bartlett.
