Susana Sandoval Clark, 90, of South Elgin, IL passed away on June 12, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 30, 1934 to Zeferino and Julia Sandoval in Laredo, TX. Susana and her husband, Joseph, whom she married on April 15, 1963, moved to Illinois where they were parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elgin and lived for over 50 years raising their family. Susana worked for over 20 years at Armin Tool before retiring to spend more time doing the things she loved. She enjoyed working in the garden, taking her chances at the casino, and watching her grandchildren grow. Faith and family were the most central part of her life and the immense love in her heart will be missed beyond measure. Susana is the beloved mother of Peggy (Dale) Steichen, Joseph (Robin Martin) Clark, Jeffrey Clark, Patricia (Steven Dusek) Clark, and Polly Clark-Perez; cherished grandmother of Heather, LeeAnn, Julie, Kyle, Alexandra, Taylor, Andrew, and Anthony; loving great-grandmother of Alexis, Julian, and Alicia; dear sister of Sister Julianne Sandoval, Herminia Lerma, and Carmen Solis,
treasured sister-in-law of Doris Blake, and precious aunt to many nieces and nephews. Susana was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Joseph Clark, her parents Zeferino and Julia Sandoval, her siblings Hermelinda Morales, Zeferino Sandoval, and Jorge Sandoval. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 4-8 pm, with a Rosary Prayer Service at 7:15 pm, at Countryside Funeral Home, 95 South Gilbert Street, South Elgin, IL 60177. Funeral Tuesday 10:15am at the funeral home to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 270 Division St, Elgin, IL for the funeral mass at 11:00am Interment Blackberry Township Cemetery, Elburn, IL.
