Steven Widmer

Steven Lyle Widmer, President and founder of Energy Optimization Services, Inc. passed away on Saturday, January 5th, 2013 at Alden Estates of Barrington, IL. Steve had been battling Melanoma cancer since March of 2011.

Loving husband of Debora A. Thompson-Widmer for 20 years, proud father of Sierra (Pablo Rodriguez), Ryan, Alexandra and Jennifer; beloved son of Ken & Jean (nee Sawsville) Widmer and son-in-law of Dennis & Joan (nee Engel) Thompson; devoted brother of Daniel (Kim) Widmer, Bonnie (Mark) Heise, Lori (Tom) Ramsett and brother-in-law of Joseph Thompson, James (Lisa)Thompson. Uncle of eleven nieces and nephews: Whitney, Danielle, Joshua, Trevor, Brandon T., Connor, Justin, Cole, Steven, Brandon H. (Jeane), and Merrick; Fond nephew, cousin, and superb friend too many.

Steve was an avid outdoorsmen, who loved to fish and hunt. He especially cherished his cottage in Spooner, WI. His passion was boats, spending time on the water and cars. Steve was outstanding engineer, overall handyman - able to fix or build anything. He was a true gentleman, a wonderful friend, a loving father and an adoring husband. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation Tuesday, January 8, from 4 to 9p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 950 South Bartlett Road(at Stearns Rd), Bartlett.
