Steven Weigand

Steven P. Weigand, 67, of Bartlett, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 in Florida with his family by his side. A lifelong Blackhawks fan, Steve was a hockey coach, an avid golfer, fisherman, and outdoorsman who love biking in Florida and Illinois. He loved watching his grandkids play sports, playing jokes and pranks on family, telling scary stories, traveling, spending winter in the Florida sun with Phyllis watching the sunset. Beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Pappas) for 48 years and her best friend for 55 years; loving father of Alayna (Peter) Vlagos, Lauren (Ryan) DeReus, and Steven (Amber Goetz) Weigand; proud grandfather of Alethia, Anastasia, Gianna, Vasilis, Victoria, Kennedy, and Jordan; cherished son of Walter and Joan (nee Schmaltz) Weigand; dear brother of Sheryl (Mike) Lesko, Mike (Linda), Wally (Eva), and Scott (Kim) Weigand; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; proud grandson of Paul and Dorothy Schmaltz, and beloved friend to many.
