Steven J. Heiress, 98, passed away on January 4, 2023, formerly of Chicago and Armstrong Creek, Wisconsin; loving husband for 65 years of Marie; dear father of Elaine (late Alfred) Rooker, Mary Heiress and Mark (Susan); proud grandfather of Derek Deak, Monica Brunell (Ed), Sara Sturek, Holly (Ryan) Sturek, Rachel, Jennifer, Emily and Kevin (Amber) Perina; caring great grandfather of 5 and fond brother of Leona Jarosz and the late Walter Dziedzic, Francis Stefanski, Joe Dziedzic and Rudy Dziedzic.
Steven retired in 2000 from Vapor Corporation where he worked as a design engineer for 40 years. He was an active member, for 65 years, of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Chicago where he received numerous religious awards. He was also very proud of being a Boy Scout Leader for over 40 years with Troop 935. He was the recipient of many civic awards as well as the Silver Beaver with Boy Scout Troop 935, which was awarded to a Scout who had shown exceptional character and had provided distinguished service within their council.
Steve served in the Army and is a WWII Veteran.
Visitation Saturday, January 14th, 10:00 am until time of service 12:00 pm / noon at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 S. Roselle Rd. (1/2 mile South of Irving Park Rd.) Roselle, Il. 60172. Interment Saint Michael the Archangel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Association 8430 W Bryn Mawr Ave #800, Chicago, IL 60631 would be appreciated.
