Stephen Hoyle

Stephen M. Hoyle, 59, was a nationally renowned fire and explosion investigator whose
expertise regularly was tapped by the local fire departments and insurance companies, often over
catastrophic fires.

With over 35 years of fire and explosion investigation experience, Stephen was the owner of
Hoyle & Associates, a private fire investigation firm in Bensenville. Stephen was a past president
of the Illinois Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), past
training chair, a state & federal court qualified expert witness, and a highly respected teacher in
his field.

Stephen is the beloved husband of Kelly (Regnier) Hoyle; father of Shannon (Kyle) Hammer
and Kelsey, loving grandfather of Kaylee and McKenzie; Son of Elizabeth and the late Terrence
Hoyle; brother of Sharon (Julio) Yap, Patrick (Jenni), and the late Cindy Anderson; brother-inlaw
of the late Steven (Debbie) Regnier and Michelle Regnier; and cherished uncle of Kristina
Anderson, Julian Yap, Tarrence Yap, Jackie Regnier, and Kenny Reginer.

Stephen could often be found riding his motorcycle along the back roads of the U.S. When not
out on the bike he would be found enjoying a cigar on the patio with his friends or in the
backyard playing with his granddaughters.
