Stephanie C. Sormane, 75, of Schaumburg, died Saturday, June 21, 2014. Born August 20, 1938 in Indianapolis. She was the daughter of Walter and Stephanie (nee Modersohn) Sormane.
Stephanie was very devoted to her religion being an active member of Resurrection Catholic Church and member in St. Bernardine of Siena Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order in Wayne, IL. She also loved animals and ballet.
She will be missed by her family. Survivors include brother Walter H. (Margot); nieces Kathleen (Bob) Wilson, Christine (Kevin) Nolan and Diane (Dan) Munn; great nieces and nephews Annie and Rob Wilson, Jeanne (Will) Baker, Matthew and Rachel Nolan and Toni (Mark) Canale; great-great niece Aria. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation Thursday June 26, 2014 4:00p.m. until the time of mass 6:00p.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church 30W350 Army Trail Rd., Wayne, IL 60184. Following mass, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
